“Realidades Divididas” is a musical reflection on our ability to interpret thesame event from different perspectives. These perspectives may vary depending on our cultural, social, or political position. In this work, I seek to represent these angles through the juxtaposition of sharply contrasting musical materials that nonetheless share certain common elements. These elements remain present throughout the piece, providing unity to the musical discourse while simultaneously reflecting the initial event and its transformations.

Written for the Albany Symphony as part of the "Orchestrating the 21st Century" summer program
